الأمم المتحدة تطلق نداء لجمع 3 مليارات دولار لمساعدة السوريين

أطلقت الأمم المتحدة أمس الخميس نداء لجمع 3.19 مليارات دولار لمساعدة 10.3 ملايين سوري حتى نهاية العام الجاري.

وقال مكتب الأمم المتحدة للشؤون الإنسانية (أوتشا) في بيان إن آدم عبد المولى "المنسق المقيم للأمم المتحدة ومنسق الشؤون الإنسانية في سوريا أطلق اليوم تمديد أولويات الاستجابة الإنسانية لعام 2025، داعيا إلى توفير مساعدة بقيمة 3.19 مليارات دولار لدعم 10.3 ملايين شخص محتاج حتى ديسمبر/كانون الأول".

وأوضح أوتشا أن هذا التمديد للأولويات الإنسانية للعام الجاري يستهدف بشكل أساسي المناطق التي تواجه أشد الظروف حرجا، والأماكن المصنفة ضمن مستويي الخطورة الرابع والخامس اللذين يعنيان أن الحالة "كارثية"، أي المستوى ما قبل الأخير من الخطورة كون المستوى الأخير يعني حالة المجاعة.

ولفت مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية إلى أنه بحاجة لمبلغ 2.07 مليار دولار لسد الاحتياجات العاجلة لحوالي 8.2 ملايين شخص في بلد يعاني من اقتصاد منهار وبنية تحتية مدمرة، وغالبية سكانه يعيشون تحت خط الفقر المحدد من جانب الأمم المتحدة.

بدوره، قال عبد المولى إن "هذا التمديد هو الأول الذي يُطوَّر في البلد، بالتشاور الوثيق مع الشركاء والسلطات، وهو يُبرهن عن التزامنا المستمر تجاه الشعب السوري".

ويأتي هذا الإعلان في ظل نقص حاد في التمويل، وفقا للأمم المتحدة التي لم تتمكن حتى الآن من أن تجمع سوى 11% من الأموال اللازمة للوفاء باحتياجات السوريين.

وفي العام الماضي، لم يُموّل من الخطة الإنسانية لسوريا سوى 36.6%، في أحد أدنى مستويات التمويل منذ 14 عاما.
