الصين تحتج على بيع أسلحة أميركية لتايوان

On 17 December, Taiwan's Foreign Ministry welcomed the US government's approving a 1.83 billion US dollar arms sale to Taipei, the first in four years. The ministry said the arms sale shows the US has honoured its commitment to Taiwan security in line with the Taiwan Relations Act. "The arms sale will not hinder development of cross-Straits ties, but instead, will help Taiwan maintain cross-Straits peace and stability, and give Taiwan more confidence in dialogue with mainland China," the statement said. On Wednesday, the Obama administration announced the arms sales package including two Perry-class frigates, anti-tank Singer missiles, amphibious assault vehicles and other equipment. Shortly before Washington's announcement, China warned the US against the arms sale. Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman for China State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, said Beijing is firmly opposed to any country - in any form or under any excuse - exporting weapons, weapon equipment or technology to Taiwan. This position is consistent, clear and firm."

استدعت وزارة الخارجية الصينية القائم بأعمال السفارة الأميركية لدى بكين لإبلاغه باحتجاجها الشديد على إعلان الإدارة الأميركية نيتها تسليم صفقة أسلحة بقيمة 1.8 مليار دولار إلى تايوان.

وأكد نائب وزير الخارجية الصيني جنغ زي غوانغ الأربعاء للدبلوماسي الأميركي أن تايوان جزء لا يتجزأ من الأراضي الصينية، وأن تسليم الأسلحة إلى تايوان سيلحق ضررا كبيرا بالعلاقات بين بكين وواشنطن.

واعتبر المسؤول الصيني أن الصفقة تشكل انتهاكا خطيرا لمبادئ القانون الدولي والعلاقات الدولية، مطالبا واشنطن بالتخلي عن بيع هذه الأسلحة التي تشمل أيضا فرقاطتين، والكف عن إجراء اتصالات عسكرية مع تايوان.

وهددت الصين باتخاذ إجراءات تتضمن فرض عقوبات على الشركات الأميركية المصنعة للأسلحة.

وكانت الإدارة الأميركية أبلغت الكونغرس بالصفقة، وذلك في سياق تقييم الولايات المتحدة للحاجات الدفاعية لتايوان.

وتعتبر هذه الصفقة هي الأولى من نوعها خلال السنوات الأربع الماضية، ومن المتوقع أن يصادق الكونغرس على الصفقة خلال ثلاثين يوماً.

يشار إلى أن الصين تعتبر جزيرة تايوان مقاطعة متمردة، وأنها لم تتخل عن استعمال القوة من أجل إخضاعها.
