للمرة الثانية خلال ثلاثة أعوام توّج بايرن ميونيخ بثنائية الدوري والكأس، وكرر الفريق البافاري تحت إدارة المدرب الراحل لمانشستر سيتي بيب غوارديولا إنجاز موسمه الأول مع الفريق عندما توّج بالثنائية في 2014، ورغم خروجه من نصف نهائي دوري الأبطال أكد البايرن سيطرته على الكرة الألمانية في الآونة الأخيرة.
