أقامت مقدونيا سياجا شائكا على حدودها مع اليونان للحد من مرور اللاجئين غير القادمين من دول تشهد حروبا. وأدى ذلك إلى تقطع السبل بنحو ثمانمئة طالب لجوء من إيران والمغرب والجزائر ولبنان وباكستان. وأصيب عدد من ضباط الشرطة بمواجهات بين الطرفين.
