The 4th Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival witnessed the launch of the first production fair as a part of the festival that marked the presence of international production firms and Arab and European Satellite Channels.

The festival director, Mr. Abbas Arnout, said that 34 participants took part in this fair. 23 participants are from outside Qatar, 11 from Qatar, and 7 Satellite Channels who have no participating films in the competitions, such as Shaer Rasoul TV, Russia Today, Al-Shrouq TV, and others.
Aljazeera participated in the production fair by exhibiting its products. The fair involved selling and marketing of products between producers and participants.

Arab and non-Arab TV Channels and production firms took part in the fair, in addition to independent individuals from different backgrounds, and other cultural, social, and media institutions.

Among the side activities in the festival were a series of seminars held to discuss topics related to the nature of the festival while others were with experts with remarkable contributions in the production of documentary films.

Exhibitions of books, photography, and traditional manuscripts were held on the side of the festival. Three publishers took part in the exhibition: Qatar Book House that is affiliated with the National Council, Althaqafa Publishers and Distributors (Qatar), and Alshrouq Publishing House in Cairo.
