أميركا تحذر من تفشي السالمونيلا

As the man in charge of disease surveillance during the Games, he says the greatest risk will be food poisoning from people eating street snacks in warm weather, failing to wash their hands and using the same toilets as millions of others. But he has a strategy to get ahead of the threat. McCloskey's Health Protection Agency Olympic co-ordination centre (OCC) will gather data on a daily basis - not only on confirmed cases of diseases such as measles, meningitis, salmonella and flu, but also on the stomach cramps, coughs, headaches and fever symptoms people complain of when they go to walk-in clinics or emergency rooms. أصدر مسؤولون بالولايات المتحدة معنيون بسلامة الأغذية يوم الاثنين تحذيرا من الدجاج الملوث بالسالمونيلا الذي تنتجه شركة دواجن في كاليفورنيا، مؤكدين تسجيل 278 حالة عدوى بين البشر.

وقالت وزارة الزراعة المسؤولة عن مراقبة الأغذية إنه تم تسجيل ما يصل إلى 278 حالة عدوى بين البشر في 18 ولاية، معظمهم في كاليفورنيا.

وأكد مسؤولون أن التحقيقات تشير إلى أن استهلاك دجاج "فوستر فارمز" وغيرها من العلامات التجارية التي تنتج في مصانع "فوستر فارمز" هي مصدر هذا التفشي على الأرجح، موضحين أن هذا التفشي مستمر.

وكان مفتشو الأغذية من بين الموظفين الذين اعتبروا أساسيين خلال التوقف الجزئي لأنشطة الحكومة، مما يعني أن بعضهم على الأقل يعمل ولكن بدون أجر.
